I admired many things about Hall. He had an outstanding working vocabulary, he was warmhearted and always willing to help someone. Whenever I traveled I'd phone Hall on my departure, and he would pray for safe passage for me. I always arrived safely.
I will miss Hall terribly, but I know that I'll see him again in Heaven - right along with all my other Christian friends.

To all Derkin Families, I loved to have shared precious time and memories with the Icons of that family. Especially there love for the Lord. Hall was an awesome person and admired his love and zest for Life. Will miss him. Judy Dragun Haerens and Dragun Family

What a delight to work with Hall for a number of years while on staff at Bethany Community Fellowship. He always found the right word for our deliberations and we called him our 'wordsmith.' His first call to me was in 1967 when his partner, our friend, Leon Wise, suggested that the Riccitelli's, home on furlough from Burkina Faso, West Africa, might be able to fill the the first Sunday their newly called pastor was to preach but could not because he was stuck in Chicago in a blizzard. We obliged and that began our friendship. He would call occasionally and always prefaced his remarks with, "I've come to you with my brass bowl" and was ready to ask if we could come the following Sunday because the pastor was not able to preach. He was warm hearted, knowledgeable in the Word of God, and ready with sound counsel. He was beloved and will be missed. But what joy is his today to be free from the burdens of humanity, free to see Jesus face to face, and glorify his Savior and Lord!
