John Richardson Obituary


RICHARDSON, JOHN E. Ann Arbor, MI John E. Richardson passed away at the cabin he loved in Harrison, MI on August 30, 2013. He was born on November 1, 1947 to Wayne and Jane Richardson and they preceded him in death. On January 22, 1972 he married Cheryl Hansen. He graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1966. John served in the Navy from May 23, 1967 - February 1, 1971. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. John's career was in the printing industry; he was employed and retired from Edwards Bros. Book Mfg. as a Web Press Operator. John's favorite time was spent at his cabin in Harrison. He enjoyed working around the cabin; going for his morning walk at 8:00 a.m.; being with neighbors and family at the lake and beach; campfires and more recently riding our new four wheeler. John was the first one there, and the last one to leave. John is survived by his loving wife Cheryl; sons, Michael (Erinn) and Matthew; and granddaughter Anna. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Nie Family Funeral Home-Liberty Rd. Chapel, 3767 W. Liberty Rd. Ann Arbor, MI 48103. Veterans Honor Guard of Washtenaw County will provide military honors at graveside service at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Affairs of Ann Arbor, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI or a charity of one's choice. Dear Richardson family, All of the South Cranberry Lake association. will miss John's smile and saying hello as he was on some of his walks , John was always willing to make a difference by helping anyone who needed it in the neighborhood.John was a proud member of the association and will be truly be missed.
