ROGER SHAW AARON

AARON ROGER SHAW AARON, on Feb. 11, 2012. Age 69. Beloved husband of Ginny; devoted father of Peter and Todd; loving father-in-law of Jessica; adoring grandfather of Nate and Will; most loving son of Phyllis; dearly loved brother/brother-in-law of Carolyn and Elliot Ross and Pat and Ed Falkenberg; and cherished uncle of Katie, Doug, Merrill and Chris. Roger grew up in Shaker Hts., OH. He attended Dartmouth College where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum laude, then went on to earn his MBA at Dartmouth's Amos Tuck School of Business, graduating with High Distinction and winning the Walter A. Jacobs Memorial Award for intellectual curiosity and sound judgment. He earned his LLB from Yale Law School in 1968. He joined the Law firm of SkaddenArps as the 19th lawyer and was an integral part of growing and managing the firm to its current size of over 1800 lawyers. He was a consummate dealmaker also serving for more than 20 years as the firm's global Corporate Practice Partner overseeing Skadden's Corporate, M&A, Governance, Finance and Restructuring practices. He was a senior member of the firm's Policy Committee as well as a frequent lecturer and panelist. Throughout his career he served on a number of non-profit boards and was a very active supporter of Dartmouth and Yale. Services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m. at Temple Emanu-El, Fifth Avenue and 65th Street, New York.
