To the family: Mrs. Bennett, or Marilyn, as she always insisted we call her, was the kindest and classiest woman we have ever known. From the start, she treated us like family, and we loved her. She will be very much missed.
Our hearts are very heavy, but Marilyn suffers no more.
Her Friends at Cleveland Sight Center

Marilyn will be missed by her many friends at Cleveland Sight Center. She volunteered in many areas, the annual Fur Sale, as Chair of the Recreation Committee, and as a member of the Board of Trustees. Her first love and her legacy will be the Drama Club which she directed. For 18 years Marilyn would select a performance piece or write one and then direct the cast. Each Spring she would host the performance open to the community. She then brought the drama program to Highbrook Lodge giving adults and teens the drama experience while at summer camp. Marilyn loved her drama participants and they her. She encouraged, inspired, laughed with, and cried with them. Marilyn was named the Eye Dea Volunteer of the Year and lit up the agency with her presence.
