George Brudvik Obituary

Our beloved George A. Brudvik of Redondo Beach passed away October 6, 2010 at 74 after living with Alzheimer's. George grew up in Lansing, Michigan and served in the Marine Corps before attending Michigan State University. His time stationed at 29 Palms while in the military persuaded him to return to California after college. He spent over 40 years in Redondo Beach. George worked for the L.A. County Department of Social Services for over 30 years. He loved music, his family, and was known for a great, dry sense of humor. He is survived by his daughters, Joanna Callaghan (David) of Rancho Palos Verdes, Andrea Carr (Mike) of Davis; three grandsons and one granddaughter. Additional family includes his brothers, Alf (June) of Mesa, AZ and Leo of Michigan. A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, October 23rd at Pacific Crest Cemetery at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to organizations that fight Alzheimer's disease. Please go to the mortuary's website, www.LAfuneral.com to send the family messages and share memories.
