I have fond memories of talking with Dan over lunch with Ed and Charlie in the Chemical Engineering shop office in Thornton Hall. Please accept my condolences.

Chalfant Family,
I have such fond memories of Meadows Presb. youth group meetings at your house. Barbara was such a mature, gregarious leader/host, and Betsy has always been a positive influence in everyone's life she touched. They were obviously raised by wonderful parents who have left their imprints in their children, at Meadows and UVa, and many other countless places. My deepest sympathy for the entire family.

Chalfant Family,
Please accept my dearest sympathies. Although I have never met your family personally, reading about Mr. Chalfant, he seemed like a wonderful husband, father, and brother, as well as a lover of the Bible. May this scripture from Isaiah 41:10 bring you comfort; it states, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not gaze about, for I am your God. I will fortify you. I will really help you. I will really keep fast hold of you with my right hand of righteousness." Yes God promises to take our hand and help us in our times of need.
