Betty Mae Propst

Betty Mae Propst, 89, of Harrisonburg, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at VMRC in Harrisonburg. Mrs. Propst was born September 19, 1936, in Pendleton County, West Virginia to the late William Harrison and Dessie Mae Kesner Kile.
Mrs. Propst was a member of the Muhlenberg Lutheran Church in Harrisonburg and had worked at Sancar, Capitol Discount, and Neighbors prior to retiring. She was wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all those who loved her.
Her husband, Carroll Junior Propst preceded her in death on May 20, 2013. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Propst; brothers, Robert Kile, Walter Kile, and Vernon Kile; half-brother, Frank Kile, and a sister, Ruth Propst.
Mrs. Propst is survived by her son, Norman Propst and wife, Cindy of Hurricane, Utah; grandchildren, Timmy, Andy and wife, Tricia, and Crystal and husband, Mason; great-grandchild, Rachel; two step great-grandchildren, Tucker and Taylor, and two step great great-grandchildren, Penelope and Nikolia.
Pastor Lauren Eanes will conduct a graveside service at 1 p.m., Friday, November 28, 2025, at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum near Harrisonburg.
