LeRoy Houchens Obituary
LeRoy Christian Houchens, 74, of Mineral, died Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System/Medical College of Virginia Hospital in Richmond.
Born Sunday, December 27, 1936, in Louisa, he was the son of the late Marie Houchens.
Besides his mother, his brothers, Elijah, Paul and Silas, preceded him in death.
He attended Louisa County Public Schools.
He was a member of Rising Sun Baptist Church.
His memories will be cherished by his sister, Mary Houchens of Mineral; four aunts, Dorothy Henson, Alice Houchens, Bertha Davis Houchens and Alberta Houchens, all of Mineral; two uncles, Eugene Houchens Jr. and Cornelius Houchens, both of Mineral; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Rising Sun Baptist Church, 6829 Fredericksburg Hall Road, Mineral.
Interment will be at Houchens Family Cemetery.
Thomasson Watson Funeral Service Inc., of Louisa, is handling the arrangements.
