Lucille Morris Hall

Lucille Morris Hall, 80, of Crozet, died on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at a local hospital.

She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on November 19, 1929, the daughter of the late Amos E. and Bertha McAllister Morris Sr.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Chalmer Forrest Hall; one sister, Ruth Ellen Morris; two brothers, Earl Austin Morris and James Elwood Morris.

Mrs. Hall was retired from the dietary department of the Albemarle County School System and worked side by side with her husband for many years in the farming and excavation businesses. All of her family will long remember Lucille's infectious laugh, her sense of humor, her amazing country cooking and her love and dedication to her family.

She is survived by her three daughters, Brenda H. Perkins and her husband, Bobby, of Keswick, Kathryn H. Bentley and her husband, David, Marsha H. Greene and her husband, Ronnie, all of Crozet; three grandchildren, R. Scott Wheeler and his wife, Sherri, Christopher A. Rivera, A. Cole Bentley; two great-grandchildren, Ryan S. Wheeler and Caryn M. Wheeler, both of Crozet; two sisters, Betty M. Adcock of Charlottesville and Charlotte M. Hodges of Louisa; four brothers, Amos E. Morris Jr. and his wife. Millie. of Charlottesville, Floyd L. Morris and his wife. Mildred. of Charlottesville, Fred G. Morris and his wife. Barbara, of El Paso, Texas, Glen F. Morris and his wife Nancy of Culpeper; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2010, in the Teague Chapel with the Reverend Eddie Deane officiating. Interment will follow at the Prize Hill Cemetery in Boonesville, Virginia.

The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010, at the Teague Funeral Home.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911 or American Diabetes Association, Post Office Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Benjamin Sneed and Staff and the entire staff of 3 Central at the University of Virginia Medical Center and to Dr. Kevin McConnell and Staff at Davita for their care for the past five years.
