Dear Brenda & Family,

I just got the news about 'Mom' and I admit that along with the tears came a floodgate of wonderful memories of years gone by. Mom Mawyer was an unforgettable lady who always extended kindness and a listening ear. It seems so strange that just two days before her passing she (and your entire family) were on my mind. I even had thoughts of trying to get in touch with you all. I'm still in Texas and haven't been back to C-Ville since Papa passed away in March 2000. Just know that you're in my prayers and it is my hope that you will find the comfort and peace needed for the days ahead. I love you guys and will forever be grateful for the ways you've touched my life.
