MARY LUCILLE POINDEXTER

Mary Lucille Poindexter entered into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Fresno, CA, joining her husband J. B. who was waiting for her at heaven's door. Lucille was born on April 9, 1925, in Dawson County, TX, and moved to California with her husband and two daughters in 1952. Lucille will be remembered as an energetic, outgoing, friendly person with an engaging smile who quickly made friends with everyone she met (even in the grocery store line). She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B.; and her brothers, Gene and John Roy Kirby. She is survived by her sister, Joy Glaser of Big Spring, TX; daughters, Carolyn Stahl and her husband Norman of Fallbrook, CA, and Janice Tozlian and her husband Roger of Clovis, CA; son, Michael Poindexter of Granite Bay, CA; six grandchildren, Erich and Matthew Stahl, Dennis and Keith Tozlian, and Ross and Jeffrey Poindexter; and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Clovis Cemetery.
