ERICK McLEOD Obituary
Old Town - Erick E. 'Jr' McLeod, Jr., 51, of Old Town, passed away at his home on Jan. 30, 2014. He was born in Clermont, FL on Nov. 9, 1962 to Erick E. McLeod Sr. and the late Dicie (Popjoy). He worked in the construction field and enjoyed being outdoor, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Gaylia McLeod of Old Town; his children Amanda (Don) Curry of Trenton and Crystal (Sammy) Pruitt of Chiefland; his siblings, Jennifer, Erica, Tracey, Brenda, Terri, Dwayne, Tammy, Tina Mae, Tina Marie, Mary & Michael Stephens and Neil & Kathy Stephens; his father, Erick Edwin McLeod, Sr. of GA; mother & father-in-law, Kathryn & Ned Stephens and his grandchildren Logan, Skylar and Abby and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Dicie Locke, step mother Marie McLeod and brother, Jimmie McLeod.
Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 at 3:00PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services with Pastor Gary Howell officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior the service. Interment will follow at the Chiefland Cemetery.

The last words ever spoken to me from my uncle were " I LOVE YOU, YALL BE CAREFUL. Now, I was shocked when I herd him say those 3 words because I didn't here this often from him, in fact I think its the only time he ever said it to me. Sometimes when I start to drag butt at work I can feel him there kicking me in my rear end telling me "come on boy get back to work" and it keeps me going. R. I. P. Uncle Jr.--- Will miss you forever!!!

My Loving Brother who is half of my heart, I miss you so much. I just wont to say thank you for letting me walk beside you what time you were here. You have thought me so much. Showed me how to do things I didn't know how to do and didn't even get mad when I asked you to show me again. I will never be able to walk in your shoes but I'm sure glad I got to walk beside them.
