I didn’t know Edith as “mother”. I loved her as a good friend who used humor to
engage with people. Her children inherited this trait. As my friend she cared enough to attend my own mother’s funeral with us. From that day on she remembered each and everyone of my brothers and sisters AND where they were in line, plus some little trait about them. There are 7 children in my family. She was not self absorbed. Edith was empathetic, honest, fun and my friend.
She also gave GREAT advice: Keep your chin up Peggie, Suck in your stomach
. . . . phew and now I can’t breathe. . . So long Edith it’s been good to know you and you are missed!

Edith is an amazing woman who treasured her time on this earth. Her bright, quick wit with a twinkle in her eye gave listeners a glimpse of her positive and indomitable spirit. You're a treasure, Edith. Steve, Kent, and Ingrid, what a legacy! Our love to all the Hunnicutt Clan. Candy, Eric, & Austin.
