Charles Rhodes Obituary
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, at Falgout Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday, Aug. 14, at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery II.
He is survived by his daughters, Magdalen Rhodes Brown and husband, Ron, and Sonia Ann Rhodes; sister, Genevieve "Jenny" Rhodes Gaudet; sisters-in-law, Juanita and Mable Rhodes; grandchildren, Kenneth Cobb Jr. and wife, Renee, Kendal Cobb Sr. and wife, Sharon, Caleb Lyon, Jared Lyon and Faith Trudell; great-grandchildren, Kendal Cobb Jr. and wife, Bobbie, Zackery Cobb, Reanna Cobb, Kent Cobb, Scott Cobb and Chase Gilpen Cobb; and great-great-grandchild, Kendal Cobb III.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mayola Lyons Rhodes; parents, Davidson Joseph Rhodes and Annette Marie Bergeron Rhodes; sisters, Syntta Rhodes Foret, Beulah Rhodes Boudlouche and Viola Rhodes Bailey; and brothers, Abby, Sidney, Joseph "J.D.," and Lora Rhodes.
Charles was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a parishioner of St. Bernadette. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.

I am going to miss Uncle Charles a lot. I remember seeing him at Rouses on Saturday mornings. He would always say "how you doing Sha" & I would ask if he had been dancing lately & he would start dancing in the store. Uncle Charles always made me laugh. He is someone very special & he will always have a special place in my heart. I will love and miss Uncle Charles very much. I know he is not truly my Uncle but I feel so close to David's family and he always made me smile when I saw him.
