Taylor Segura Obituary
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at First Baptist Church in Houma. A memorial service will be at noon Monday at the church, with a reception to follow.
He is survived by his wife, Alyssa Gautreaux Segura; father and mother, John William Segura and Brenda Johnston Segura; brother, Craig Allen Segura and wife, Rebecca; nephew, Michael Arthur Segura; sister, Amye Segura Goady and husband, Robert; and grandmothers, Elizabeth Leach Johnston and Loretta Guidroz Segura.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Michael "Mickey" Segura and Billy Ray Johnston; and nephew, Daniel Alan Goady.
Taylor was a well-respected five-year veteran Deputy with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office. He started part-time with the TPSO in the Ashland Corrections facility in 2008 and transferred to a patrolman position in 2011.
He was a 2008 graduate of Ellender Memorial High School and earned an associate's degree in criminal justice from Nicholl's.
Taylor will be remembered for his undeniable passion, zeal for life and his dedication and love for law enforcement. But most of all, he will be remembered for the fervent love and adoration he had for his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church in Houma.
Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
