William Adams Obituary

William N. Adams, 90, of Caldwell, died Friday, Sept.18, 2009, at home of natural causes. Private entombment was a Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. 459-3629.
He was born June 30, 1919, at Owensboro, Ken., the son of Ernest and Martha Adams. William served in the U. S. Army under General George S. Patton and was at Normandy on D-day. For 40 years, he worked for several major aircraft manufacturers and worked on projects such as the X-15 and SR-71 at Edwards Air Force Base in California.
He is survived by his wife of 49 1/2 years, Margaret (Peg); four sons, Niel Adams of El Mirage, Calif., Scott of Caldwell, William II of Nampa and Don of Caldwell; two daughters, Lynda Adams of Cottonwood, Ariz., and Val Adams of Phoenix, Ariz.
