GENEVA – Lula F. "Lou" Barlas, 81, of Geneva, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at Provena Geneva Health Care.

She was born April 10, 1929, in Vienna, Ill., the daughter of Clarence and Eva (Martin) Burke.

Prior to retirement, she worked at Hawley Products in St. Charles for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Pat Stahl of Geneva; and Pat's father, Chester Jobe; grandchildren, Brad Stahl of Chicago and Beth (Jeff) Works of South Elgin; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Jesse Works; sister, Lillie Askew of Peoria. She also is survived by her husband Robert's children, Terry (Toni) Barlas and their children, Cody Barlas and Dylan Jurca, of Crystal Lake, William Barlas of Florida and Jennifer Barlas of Geneva.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Barlas; and also by many siblings.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Malone Funeral Home, 324 East State St. (Route 38), Geneva.

Interment and service is private.
