PANZER, Jerald David Taken from this world Thursday, October 14, 2010, in Los Angeles, California. Born August 21, 1969, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Maureen Higgins Panzer and Dr. James Frederick Panzer. Jerry received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1991 from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and was a member of the Innocents Society. In Chicago, he completed an MBA at Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 2000. He began his career with KPMG in Omaha. He later moved to Chicago to work with KPMG's Transactions Services, and then to KPMG's offices in Los Angeles where he became a partner in 2003. In California, Jerry met Theresa (TJ) Wilson and the couple married in Palm Springs on November 10, 2007. Jerry stayed active professionally, frequently speaking for the Los Angeles Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, and he served on the board of Covenant House California. Jerry loved beach volleyball, golf, travel and spending time with his friends and family.
Jerry leaves his wife, TJ, his parents, Maureen and James, his siblings Jill and James Livingood of Charlottesville, Virginia; Jon and Jill Panzer of Omaha, Nebraska; and CH (Cpt) Joel Panzer of Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He also leaves goddaughters Joslyn Panzer and Eve Livingood, nephews Jackson Panzer and Samuel Livingood, and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends to mourn him. The family has invited friends and family to a memorial service to be held Thursday, October 21st at 11:00 a.m. with a reception from 12-4 p.m. at The Trump National Golf Club, 1 Ocean Trails Drive in Rancho Palos Verdes. Jerry was always a smiling face at volleyball. We all enjoyed his company at the beach and he is one of the reasons we love the game. Our volleyball group will miss Jerry and we pass our deepest condolences to his wife and his family. He will rest in eternal peace with the Lord.

I was in shock when I heard that someone my age could be taken from us. I just assumed that we would have a long lasting friendship. I am so sorry for everyone's loss, especially his new bride. We can only hope that there is a much better place out there that he is going to, looking down on us wishing we were there with him.
