GIBSON — Ronnie Paul Norton, 63, passed away on March 5, 2016
Ronnie was born July 30, 1952, a son of the late Archie Paul Norton and Sophia Graham Norton Sanderson. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. He retired after many years of service from Southeastern Tool and Die. His home church has been Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church since he was a small boy. Ronnie loved his family and enjoyed fishing, hunting and NASCAR.
He is survived by his best friend and mother of his children Debbie Norton Sheppard, his daughters Sha' Blackwell (Chris) of Laurinburg and Brandy Norton (Kimberly) of Raleigh, brother Jerry Wayne Norton (Barbara) of Laurinburg, sister Vanessa Strickland (Alex) of Maxton, five grandchildren: Layne Smith, Cearra Blackwell, Schatze Norton, Hertz Norton, and Sofie Norton, his nieces and nephews Joeie Giddens (Tina), Chris Norton, Stacie Norton, April Martin (David), Josh Norton, and Jessie Norton, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Monday at the Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by Pastor Gary Wilson and Pastor Harry Clark.
Burial will follow in Laurinburg Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at graveside.
In Ronnie's memory, the family requests that memorial donations be given to the Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church, P.O. Box 1651, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
