Edmond Benini Obituary
Edmond E. Benini of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, age 96, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015. Born in Connecticut to Primo and Giovanna (Valicelli) Benini, Edmond served in the United States Army from 1943 until 1946 in the Philippines. He married the love of his life Janice Hotaling in 1958. Edmond taught Industrial Arts at Ossining High School for many years and coached both ice hockey and golf. His love of traveling led him to spend five years teaching in Japan, journeying to all 7 continents, 72 different countries and every state in the US. Most of all he was a family man who loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Edmond is survived by his beloved wife Janice, cherished children James Benini (Kristin) and Judy O'Donnell, adored grandchildren James O'Donnell, Julia O'Donnell, and Alex Benini, dearest sister Olga Marucci, niece Vicki Mantie and many friends. Edmond is predeceased by his brother Flavio Benini.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Doctors without Borders (333 7th Ave., NY, NY 10001) or the St. Labre Indian School (1000 Tongue River Rd., Ashland, MT 59003).

Coach Benini My Ice Hockey 1954 to 1957. Over the years following he and Jan became good friends of my parents and myself. Always with solid advice. A man that won respect easily. He will live in my thoughts and memory alway as Coach Benini my friend.

Mrs. Benini, I was so saddened to hear of Mr Benini's passing. He was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. My father, who was a collegue, held him in high regard both professionally and personally. He will be missed.
