Robin, I am saddened to learn of Zenny's passing. He and my brother, Bill, were great friends, and that is how I came to know and enjoy Zenny. We would often talk about music, especially jazz, about which his knowledge was extensive. Zenny could be very funny, and without much effort. He was a unique man, and always a gentleman. I am glad Zenny and I, with your help, got to communicate a few months ago. On behalf of my brother, and all my family, I offer our condolences. Zenny is in my prayers, as are you and Zenny's sisters.

Zenny was a dear friend and tireless advocate for both UMass Lowell as a Trustee for many years and the City of Lowell as a founder of the Lowell Regatta. When ever I visited the Speare House Zenny would come by our table and share a story or two. I will cherish the advice he gave while a student at UML and feel fortunate to call Zenny Speronis my friend. Rest in peace.

Zenny was an incredible advocate for the City Lowell. The Speare House was the best place in Lowell to go for that 'special dinner.' There is nothing like it now. His support of the Folk Festival made it the success it is today. Zenny, thank you for all you contributed, God bless you.

Aris, I remember Dow taking me to the Speare House to meet your brother and you in the early 1960's. We continued to dine there for a number of years. It must be reassuring to all of you to know so many people have most fond memories of Zenny. My deepest sympathy to the family. Connie Lanseigne-Case.

The days we all spent at the "Y"are quite memorable, the cast of characters and the bantering would make , would make the current reality TV stars pale in comparision,Zenny was quite star in his own right, his work with the regatta and anything on the boulevard was nothing short on spectacular and his love for the City of Lowell most evident. Thought and prayers to all his family.

Hi Robin,
I am so sorry to here about Zenny's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I tell stories of him quite often. "Kate you have to learn how to make a good coffee and I'll have a blackberry brandy as well" seems to be one of my favorites. He was the only person that ever called me Kate and even though I told him 100 times it was Cathy he insisted on calling me Kate. He was a great man and you should be proud to have spent many years of your life with him. God Bless.
Sincerely,
Cathy (a former Speare House employee)

To Robin
It is with heartfelt sorrow that I learned of Zenny's passing. We grew up in the Lowell are and went through school together and graduated in 1844. I last saw Zenny at one of our High School reunions. Our families had close ties with Zenny and his family. Please accept my sincere condolences .
