Mexia, TX- Conrad E. Ratliff 85, of Mexia, TX passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at his residence. Graveside services will be held 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Newman Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. on Tuesday prior to the service. Conrad was born January 28, 1933 in O'Donell, TX to the late William Francis and Bessie Elaine (Patterson) Ratliff. He married Mary Alline Powell on September 1, 1956 in Brownfield, TX. Conrad was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked many years as an Independent Oil Consultant. Conrad is survived by his sons Dale Ratliff and wife Sue of Humble, TX; Mike Ratliff and wife Leslie of Chicago, IL; grandchildren Eric, Madison, Joshua, Emma, Nathan Ratliff and Alyson Ratliff Bartol and husband Billy; sister Veenie Fay Beeler of Kentucky and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Alline Ratliff, his parents, brothers Albin, Alfred, Bobby Gaines, Stanley and Milfred; sisters Audys and Novell.
