Alan Helmuth Obituary
Feb 16, 1952 - Feb 11, 2014
Milledgeville, GA- Alan Blaine Helmuth, 61, of Stallings Road, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00am, prior to an 11:00am funeral on Sunday, February 16, 2014, in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home in Gray. Burial will follow at Cedar Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Helmuth, the son of the late Samuel Helmuth and Annie Bell Collins Helmuth, was born in Macon on February 16, 1952, and had lived in Milledgeville for the past nine years. After completing his education he retired as a lineman from the Georgia Power Company.
Mr. Helmuth is suvived by his devoted wife of twenty-two years: Jackie Helmuth; daughters and son-in-law: Tammy and Brian Dunlap, Amy Dupree, Tonya Meister, Becky Watkins and Melissa McAlpin; son: Cody Helmuth; sister: Debbie Helmuth; and by his grandchildren: Andrew Dunlap, Tucker Dunlap, Ethan Dunlap, Dylan Dupree, Ariel Holcombe, Tyler Meister and Brianah Meister.

Dear Daddy,
The trial started this week. I haven't attended any of it. It's not because I don't love you, it's because I love you SO much. I cannot emotionally handle that your death is real, it actually happened and you're no longer here. Words cannot describe how heavy my heart feels. I cry for you, my heart aches for you. Even though I pray for you and justice to be served, nothing will bring you back to me and that's a hard pill to swallow. Just please know how much I love you, nothing will ever change that. I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart! Missing you terribly but always sending you Butterfly Kisses! I love you Daddy!

I worked with Alan as an apprentice lineman in Macon. He was a great teacher and I am forever in debt to him. His memory will surely live forever with me as I do my daily jobs the way he taught.
