Elaine, an Augusta native, was born March 30, 1954, to Walter and Edna (Savage) Greene. Elaine attended Cony High School. She was a very kind woman who loved God, her family and her friends with every ounce of her being. She enjoyed cooking, scrapbooking and most recently started to paint. Painting brought her peace and she shared her art with many family members and friends. Elaine was loved by many people and those who knew her would say she had huge heart and passion for those who took the time to know her better.
Elaine was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, James H. Weymouth Sr. and her daughter, Cheryl L. Cross, as well as two sisters Annie Atter and Marjorie Church.
Elaine is survived by one daughter, Tara Alton and her husband, Jason; two stepchildren, Ernie Weymouth and Angela Graham; eight grandchildren: Sean, Zachary, Jacob, Jayden, Joshua, Ellen, Amelia, Chrissie and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Savage and Dorene Gearhart and her husband Fred; two brothers, George Greene and his wife Lena and Walter Greene and his wife Margarita, and one very special niece and caregiver, Terry Ann Cintron. She had several nieces and nephews as well.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, at the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene, 30 Nazarene Drive, Augusta, 04330.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene for Children and Teen Summer Camp Funds.
