JIMMY WALKER Obituary

1939 - 2010

Jimmy Wayne Walker of Chowchilla passed away at home October 11, 2010 at the age of 71 after a brief illness.

Jimmy was born May 28th 1939 in Lathon OK to James and Edna (Moore) Walker. He served as a military policeman in the United States Air Force. Jimmy moved to Clovis California at the age of 22 where he met and married Carol (Underwood) Walker, his wife of 47 years. Jimmy and Carol moved to Chowchilla in 1970, where he was a member and president of the local chapter of the Eagles Lodge for many years, and was a dairy Service technician at Wright's Dairy Supply for 19years. He retired from the Paul Masson Winery in 2002 after 15 years. He loved the outdoors, spending much of his free time fishing and camping.

Besides his wife Carol, Jimmy is also survived by his mother Edna Walker, his daughter Karen Leonardo, his granddaughter Malori, her husband Leo Reyes and Jimmy's great grandson Issac, his sister Sherron Hanson and Niece Tracy Bozarth, his nephew Jim Walker wife Teddi, and their Children Brandie-Lynn, Ryan and Dallas, sister-in-law Betty Yancy and her daughters Vicky and her husband Sheldon Swearengin, Tammy and her husband Bret Denham, Carol and her husband Jesse Ceja, their families, and numerous friends and relatives.

Visitaiton will be on October 18, at 8 am with Pastor Chad Buttrey Officiating services at 9 am at Cathedral of Faith, 1504 Robertson Blvd. Chowchilla, CA

Internment is at 2 pm at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery 32053 West McCabe Rd. Santa Nella CA.
