Dolores Hunt Obituary

Dolores Hunt

Resident of San Jose

After a long struggle with heart and lung diseases, Dolores "Dee" Hunt passed away on October 1, just a few weeks short of her 85th birthday. Born in San Francisco in 1925 and a graduate of Galileo High School, her parents, Francisco and Manuela Martinez, were immigrants from Spain. She is survived by her older brother Frank and younger brother Roy, as well as by her two children, Mark Hunt and Laura Hunt, three grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. A resident of San Jose since 1960, Dee worked as a legal secretary for numerous years, and then as a secretary at I.B.M. until retiring in 1992. Known for her love of calico cats, she loved her children and grandchildren, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Special thanks to Gerry, Jan, Carol and Bill for all their help, especially during the difficult past year. A small memorial gathering is planned.
