May 19, 1923 - Oct 9, 2010

Born Joan Meredith Teter in Cambridge, NE to John Franklin Teter and Edith Lillian Parmelee, she was one of four daughters. Predeceased by (Loy) Marcia Teter and Mary Lois Tolin, she is survived by her loving sister, Phyllis Brusnahan of Omaha.

Joan served in the US Army from 1944 to 1946 where she met and married her late husband, Dr. John J. Bordeaux, a pioneer in the semiconductor industry. She received the Victory Medal, the American Theater Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal. Joan graduated from Michigan State University (BA Home Economics, minor Art.) She later attended California State University San Jose and received teaching credentials.

The Bordeaux family moved to Sunnyvale in 1959. She is survived by her two children, Marc A. Bordeaux and Aimee K. Bordeaux, both of Sunnyvale.

Joan will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her loving heart. She played bridge, travelled the world, enjoyed theatre, was an excellent cook and seamstress, and a good and decent friend. She was a member of the Cupertino DeOro Club since 1961.
