We went fishing brother and had a great time whale watching. Didn't catch any salmon, but left your fishing lure in Alaska. Thought about you all the time I was there.

Your Loving Big Sister

May 24, 2008

Dear Brother---I went "North to Alaska" this past week. I remember how jealous you were when you found out we were going! I thought of you every day. We took your watch along so a "part of you" went too and we will give it to Donnie to wear. Kirk went Salmon fishing for you ( didn't catch anything) and left your lure there. I remembered what Brit had wrote about you taking her fishing and I heeded the advice you gave her. I didn't "rock the boat and I didn't tip the boat oer!" I love you and miss you sooooo much!

Donnie:

I am so sorry we were unable to attend your celebration of life services, but we were there in spirit.

I remember you as a cute little skinny kid, full of mischief and loved to tease (especially your sister). I know you are enjoying your new mansion our Lord has prepared for you, while you wait for your loved ones.
Our love always, Aunt Frankie & Uncle Ed.

Don, I remember when you were doing the room for Sharon.....We laughed all the time. It was good to get to know you and I will remember you always. I know that you are better off and in a better place. I will see you again in the presence of the Lord. Rest in peace.

I would like every one to know that donald loved you all, all of his memories were good ones, i never heard him say anything but kind and loving things about you all. all the stories he would tell me were so funny and loving, he even told family stories of people i had never met. he loved his mother so much. he loved and respected bud so much. his sisters, brother, children, stepchildren were the brightest stars in his life. i have never seen a family so close as his, even aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandparents, cousins were all so important to him, he even love his ex, and of course he loved me and that love will last for ever. i love you all for loving him, and for the wonderfull people you are.

Donnie: We are cousins by birth (your Dad and my Mother are siblings). Time and distance separated us all of our lives except for a very brief period in August 2007. Thanks to the modern technology of computers and the internet, we were able to "reach out and touch" you and Cleta. In August 2007, we came face to face for only the second time in our lives; the first time you were only an infant. The time we spent together that August - getting acquainted, catching up on lost time, remembering our heritage, sharing memories, enjoying family photographs, is a time I shall cherish always. My husband, Gerald, and I extend to your family our heart felt consolences for their loss. We wish we could have been there for the services, but the upside of that is we shall always remember you as you were -- sitting in Cleta's and Kirk's home, laughing, enjoying good food, good times, lots of hugs, a few tears, and most of all just being together. I am so glad that we had that time together. In remembrance, your Texas Cuzins -

First I want to say, Father I miss you deepley. This is so much harder than i thought it would be.I love you and miss you so much.

There is alot I can say about the time I spent with my Father but some wouldnt understand becouse most of my fondest memories with him was when we were alone.

But the other memories with DAD were just as special becouse dad loved his hole family. When we would go camping, hunting, Shopping, fishing, or even just to the flea market, DAD would talk about those trips for weeks after words. He would even get mad if you told a story wrong about something that happened on that trip and would make sure to correct you so everyone would know how fun our trip was. It would never fail after dad would tell someone about our trips they would be with us on our next one.

Fishing was DADS favorite thing and you all heard about DAD, UNCLE GARY, AND MYSELF'S last fishing trip together it had tobe the best. I think becouse its the most memorible to us and it was not only scary for me but i hadnt seen DAD and UNCLE GARY laugh like that together, Since DAD had gotten sick. It was great.

Us three always had a good time on the delta. That was our favorite place to fish. Channel marker 31 if you want togo fish with DAD!

I REALLY ONLY HAVE ON MORE THING TO SAY ABOUT MY DAD, IF HE WAS HAPPY,MAD OR EVEN SAD. I THANK GOD FOR HIM. I AM GLAD HE IS MY DAD!

REST IN PEACE DAD ILL SEE YOU AGAIN. 'CATCH ONE FOR ME' I LOVE AND MISS YOU LOTS. Love you allways your son!

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I LOVE YOU BROTHER

May 1, 2008

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

It was a memorable birthday we spent celebrating this past year with. It had been so many years but you were still Uncle Don, Tina's, Donnie's and Audrey's dad. We were blessed to spend joyful time with you when we all had fun. Thanks for the laughs. My love is with my cousins who cared and honored Uncle Don with their respectful, independent spirits.

God looked around his garden,
And found an empty place.
He looked down upon the Earth,
And saw your tired face,
He put his arms around you,
And lifted you to rest.

God's Garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best,
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never get well on Earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered, peace be thine.

It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day god called you home.

I miss you Bubba and love you very much, But you are with our Mother now, and in a better place. Tell Mom that I love and miss her too.

I will always remember that he would tease me about my age. I was always 13 years old to him. I loved having family gatherings and seeing him. He made us all laugh and somtimes he had some shock value as well. But, we knew he loved us all! I will miss him so much.

God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you,
And whispered come with me.
With tearful eyes we watched you,
We watched you pass away.
Although we love you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stops beating,
Hard working hands to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He chose to take the best......
We love and miss you always.

I love you Uncle Donald
