Crystal Mullins, a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and fierce soul, passed away on October 22, 2025, in Laporte, Indiana. Born on January 16, 1978, Crystal lived every day in her own way. Bold, spontaneous, and full of fire.
Life didn’t go easy on Crystal, but Damn she never backed down. She faced every storm with her head held high, a laugh that could break the silence, and a little spark of sass that made everyone around her smile. She was raw and real, no masks, no pretending what you saw was what you got: honesty, strength, and a heart that loved hard.
She wasn’t scared of much, maybe heights, but even then, she’d probably still climbed just to prove she could. She loved deeply and unapologetically, finding joy and simple freedoms: painting, cracking jokes, hopping on the back of a motorcycle, or hitting the road for an adventure. The world was brighter because she existed, and it’s a little dimmer now without her fire lighting it up.
Those who knew her will never forget the sound of her laughter, the twinkle in her eyes when she teased someone she loved, or her little quirks, like a Mountain Dew in hand and a bag of Funyuns with a Slim Jim close by, and that contagious energy that felt any room she walked into.
Crystal is lived through her children, Nicholas, Kalee, Rhodes, Amber, Michael, Maruszczak, and Alexis Choromokos, and her grandchildren, Lucien, Ivory, Luna, Baker, and Gracie, who lovingly knew her as “Mimi.” She is also lived through her siblings, Josh, Kandye, Joyce, and Vonda Mullins…
She was called home to her parents, John and Elizabeth (Armstrong) Mullins, and her sister, Karen Mullins.
Crystal’s story is one of love, laughter, strength, and resilience. Though her time here ended far too soon, her spirit will live on through her family, her friends, and the memories that will forever carry her wild, beautiful, and unforgettable light…
