Predeceased by his wife, Marilyn Brownyard.

Survived by his children, Cheryl (Bruce) Himes, Michael (Kathy) Brownyard. Grandchildren, Megan (Adam), Steven, Taylor (Brendan), Madison, Adam. Great granddaughter, Daisy. Sister, Patricia (Donald) Kelly. Brother, Robert (Joanne) Brownyard. Many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

“David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Known for his infectious sense of humor, he was the life of every gathering, always making those around him laugh. His nieces and nephews fondly called him "Uncle Goofy" for his playful, goofy spirit that never failed to brighten any room.

Whether he was tearing up the dance floor alone or sharing a laugh with friends, Papa was a true entertainer at heart. His love for hunting, NASCAR, and his annual trips to the Poconos were just a few of the passions that defined him. His warmth, joy, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

As we celebrate his life, we’ll raise a Genny Cream Ale in his honor, remembering the laughter, love, and memories he gave us all.”

The family will receive friends 4-7pm Thursday October 30, 2025 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd. (corner of Culver Rd.) On Friday morning, please assemble at the Lake Ave gate of Riverside Cemetery, 2650 Lake Ave, Rochester, NY 14612 at 9:45am for graveside services beginning at 10am.
