David Anthony Norton, 50, passed away at his residence on Monday, March 6, 2023. He was born on February 14, 1973. He is the son of the late Lewis Douglas Norton and Anna Lois Norton.
David was a graduate of Cross Keys High School and Georgia State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. He enjoyed watching movies, fishing, being outdoors and traveling. He was employed by the IRS for thirty years as a tax analyst.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in by his niece Clara Joyce Norton and his sister, Deborah Norton Smith.
He is survived by his wife Shannan Norton; mother, Anna Norton; brother, Dale Norton, Heflin, Alabama; nieces, Sharon Casstevens of Monroe, Georgia, Emily Norton of Canton, Georgia, Ruthie Skelton, Canton, Georgia, nephew, Michael Smith of Monroe, Georgia; several great nieces and nephews also survive.
In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated. The family will have a celebration of life at later date.
