Harriet Wilkinson Cabaniss, 78, of Hopewell, Va passed away on October 28, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Tommy Reed and Agnes Turner Wilkinson; sister of the late, Nancy W. Shell, Helen W. Daniel and Agnes Reed W. Hawthorne and was aunt of the late Cephas Hawthorne, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Julian W. Cabaniss; her sons, Dwayne Cabaniss (Natalie) of Chesterfield and Brian Cabaniss (Regina Rabago) and her precious granddaughter, Catherine Cabaniss all of Brooklyn, NY; her sister, Edna Gibbs; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends. Harriet grew up in Dundas, Va and graduated from Kenbridge High School. She retired from the Army Logistics and Management College from the Logistics, Simulation and Exercise Division. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, doing crafts, crocheting and painting. She will always be remembered for the love she had for her family. A celebration of her life will be held 7PM Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge. Private interment at Amelia Veteran’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Va. 23805.
