James Vickers Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. James Thomas Vickers, 87, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 8, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA, with Richard McAdams officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Vickers was born April 3, 1936, in Monroe, LA, and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 6, 2023.
Mr. Vickers is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Patricia Ann Vickers; parents, Mildred and CW Whetstone; brother, James Michael Jordan; and grandson, James Lane Hemphill.
Survivors include his daughters, Marla K. Aston, Connie D. McAdams and husband Mike, and Kelly A. Vickers; grandchildren, Shelly Wallace and husband Daniel, Amy Ryder and husband Mike, Miranda Chris and husband Josh, and Jamie Villarrial and husband Gerald; as well as numerous great granchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Hill, Billy Jordan, Mike Brown, Mike Aston, Daniel Wallace and Mike Ryder. Honorary pallbearers will be Hank Davis, Joe Gonzales, and Rooster Oliveaux.
