RUTER, Ruth R. (nee Windt). Loving wife of the late Bill Ruter. Beloved mother of Brian Ruter, Gail Florea, Karen (Ken Hof) Ruter and Sharon (Joe) Kauffman. Devoted grandmother of Amber (Matthew), Chelsee (Timmy), Zach, Josh (Ally) Ryan (Brittany), Emily, Kassee (Dylan), Dylan (Brittany) and Lindsey (Jayson). Cherished great-grandmother of Emmie, Addy, Avery, Leyton, Lexi, Lucy, Cooper, Bristol, Remi and one on the way. Dear sister of the late Joseph Windt. Preceded in death by her parents Frank and Anna Windt. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her Noble Avenue Family. Passed away August 5, 2023 at the age of 90. Ruth grew up and lived in North College Hill and was part of St. Margaret Mary Parish her whole life. She was a high school athlete and played the accordion. After marrying Bill in 1956, she worked for Heister Insurance Agency. She devoted her life to her Family. She had many lifelong friends, wonderful neighbors and volunteered in the school community. She enjoyed her 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and all things they were involved in. She was also an avid Bingo player and loved her dogs and granddogs. Visitation will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Home 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill, Friday, August 11th from 9AM until 10:30AM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Mary Church 1830 Galbraith Rd., North College Hill, Friday at 11AM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
