Henry Cherry Obituary

Mr. Henry "Marvin" Cherry, 76 of Tarboro, N.C., died peacefully surroun-ded by his loving family on Thursday, October 14, 2010 in Greenville, N.C. He was born October 10, 1934 in Martin Co. North Carolina. Mr. Cherry is the son of the late Mack Cherry, Sr. and Hettie Council Cherry. Marvin leaves to cherish his memories, his beautiful wife of fifty years, Glenn Vines Cherry of the home; three daughters; Deirdre (Peter) Ashby of Oak Ridge, N.C., Marva Renee` (Andre) Dorsett of Greensboro, N.C., and Melody Y. Cherry of Atlanta, GA.; seven grandchildren; Lavonne Dornice Walton, Renique And re`onne Dorsett, Andre` Rayshawn Dorsett, Brandon Alexander Dorsett, Stefan Alexander Ashby, Justin Maurice Ashby and Jaida Elise Hall and a host of other relatives and friends. A viewing will be Friday, October 22, 2010 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 1 p.m. with a visitation from 12 p.m. until the service hour at the St. Luke Church of Christ (D.O.C.) 101 Neville Street, Princeville, N.C. Burial will follow in the Cherry Family Cemetery in Bethel, N.C. Services are entrusted to Baker Funeral Home of Tarboro, N.C. Dear Mrs. Cherry and family,

I was a fourth grade student of yours in Park Avenue School in Danbury, CT. You were a wonderful teacher that I remember so fondly and I wanted to express my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family on Mr. Cherry's passing. I pray for the Lord's comfort and peace for you and your family at this difficult time.
