Michael G. Hritsko

Michael (Mike) George Hritsko, age 77, passed away in his sleep after a long battle with cancer on February 24, 2018, in Dublin, Ohio at Sunrise of Dublin under care of Capital City Hospice.

Mike was born August 23, 1940 in Lorain, Ohio to Peter and Anna Hritsko. He graduated from Lorain High school in 1958 and Kent State University in 1962. He also earned an executive MBA from Baldwin Wallace University. On June 20, 1965, he married the former Rosemary Solovey in Lorain.

Mike was a long-time resident of northeast Ohio. He led a successful career working various financial and accounting positions for General Motors, Foseco and finally White Engines as CFO. After an early retirement from corporate life, he purchased Armond's Garden Center in Louisville, Ohio and operated it for ten years. He proudly served his country as a member of the Ohio National Guard in the late 1960's. For the past eighteen years, Mike resided in Ft. Myers, Florida where he worked part time in real estate and enjoyed traveling, golfing, and spending time with family and friends and his pets.

Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 34 years, Rosemary Hritsko (nee: Solovey) who died in 1999; and his brothers, Jim Hritsko and Peter Hritsko.

He is survived by his brother, Robert Hritsko (Ellie) of Lorain, Ohio; his two daughters, Tamara Izzo (Brian) of Dublin, Ohio and Larissa Livingston (Todd) of Powell, Ohio; four grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Ashley and Alexis; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Just found out about Mike's passing today when he was remembered at Cypress Lake Methodist Church in Ft Myers. He was a kind man to all and was sad to have him leave the area.. but knew being close to family was best.
May you have many happy memories and know peace.

Sorry to hear. Just spoke to him a couple of weeks ago. Over 60 years we would talk from time to time. He had a dry sense of humor and after going over current events, (we both liked politics)he was laughing and in good spirits.

He also was a religious man always ending our call with a God bless you.

"God bless you" Mike, on your journey.
