Dear Mrs Erickson: My thoughts are with you. I knew Bill for about 12 years when I was a Planning Commissioner. He was there for me during the very difficult casino hearings and I will never forget his good humor and willingness to try to make things go smoothly. It was a challenge and I and his colleagues all knew he was up to the task. He will be missed by friends and colleagues and you have my deepest sympathy.

Laura, Tori and Michael, Bill was such a special person who loved his family above anything else in the world. I will remember him joking and laughing with us on Thursday and that he was happy during his time with us. I only wish that I could bear the burden of your pain so that you could remember the joy he brought to your lives. He was a great man of unquestioning principles and it was an honor to know him and be included in his life.
