Tom Christenson Obituary
He was born on May 1, 1962, to Dale and Patty (Larsen) Christenson. Tom graduated from John Marshall High School and attended Trade School at VoTech in Rochester. Tom worked at Mayo Clinic for 32 years as a machinist. On September 25, 1998, he married Lisa Clapper in Rochester and made their home in Byron all of their married years. Tom enjoyed spending time with his children, family and friends. He enjoyed the great outdoors, farming, blacksmithing, purchasing antiques from the flea markets, tractor pulling, snowmobiling and never went a day without wearing his "TC" hat.
In addition to his wife, he will be greatly missed and survived by eight children: Alma, Milo, Michaela, Sean, Trevor, Shane, and Elijah, of Byron. His parents, Dale and Patty Christenson, of Rochester; father-in-law, Richard Clapper and mother-in-law, Carolyn Clapper, of Iowa; a brother, Mike (Sandy), of Minneapolis; a sister, Bonnie (Mark) Har, of Crystal Minnesota. 12 grandchildren; 7 nieces and 6 nephews; 4 sisters-in-law and 4 brothers-in-law.
The service for Tom Brian Christenson will be held on Friday, July 24, at 11 a.m. at Ranfranz Funeral Home in Rochester. Interment will follow at Ranfranz Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice. We would like to thank all the staff at Saint Marys hospital for their support and compassion during Tom's difficult journey.

Though my only connection to Tom was through High School it still weighs heavily on my heart to learn of his passing. To have had six children in these times is a very special thing. What great memories he must have brought with him and which he'll have to carry him through this time till the day he's once again joined together to start new ones. They are blessed to have had him as a father and Husband and we as a friend. God Bless you all!
