Dear Leskar Family & Cal,
I knew Mike, Cal Tina & Mike Jr when they first moved to California. Minnesota Mike what a great character & wonderful guy he was. He & Cal were close friends we had many adventures on the Harley´s, & at their home when they lived on Olive St right around the corner from where I grew up on Boyd St. They bought my ex husband Peter Ehlert & my house on Mark West Station Rd when we divorced. And I lost touch with both he & Cal. I hold so many memories of our times together good & bad.
I see you riding up in the Sky Mike! RIP

Hi,
I am a long long time friend of Mike's. His Iron Range nickname was Shmock. I knew him in high school and met him at his father's garage in Gilbert. I was with him when he bought his first Pan Head, a 57 - 74 cu in basket case which he quickly rebuilt into a fine dresser. Mike directed me in spring of '68 to my first Harley, '64 full dresser from Edgbergs (long gone) in Mpls. MIke hauled, it to the Iron Range for me. He was a wonderful friend, had a great sense of humor and was always willing to lend a hand. We had great times, learned a lot by trial and error and I have fond memories of events at his father's bus garage. Mike WILL be missed.

To All Our Friends in the Leskar Family,
They say you are not gone, until you are forgotten...There's no chance that we will ever forget the genuine uniqaueness of Michael Leskar and all the contributions he made to motorcycling.
We partyed hard together, as Dealers, for a couple of years...we'll never forget the tie-cutting antics at the 1990 Christmas Party!!!!
May he now find Peace.
Fondly,
Thom & Honore McIlhattan

My condolences to Jimmy and the Leskar family. Mike along with Jimmy was the influence on me at a young age to start riding motorcycles, and I"m still doing it. I still remember those summers as a kid riding around the salvage yard on that scoot and his big red Harley.

Michael's passing so close to the 25th anniversary of Michael's Harley-Davidson must have special meaning. He is giving us his legacy to carry on. It is up to us to keep making Michael's the best dealership of the best motorcycle in the world. He did something wonderful and we will be grateful to him always.

My condolences to the Leskar family. I didn’t know Michael, but I knew of him through his doting brother, Jimmy. I believe that Michael must have been very central in Jimmy’s life, for Jimmy changed his life to take over Michael’s passion. These brothers are testimony to the strong bond of true brotherhood. Life well done!...Cheers

Mike, we had 15 amazing years together and raised 2 beautiful children. You were so unlike anyone I had ever met before. I'll never forget the day you came to meet my parents for the first time. You were 21. It was February in Minnesota - frigid out. Our garage door was open waiting for dad to come home from work. Suddenly the whole house was reverberating from the pipes on your '57 Chevy as you pulled up into Dad's spot. You burst into our livingroom, bigger than life in your cowboy boots, big grin, boisterous greeting. You won them over. My family was never the same again. You know you will always be in my heart.

I am imagining Michael standing tall and strong with the biggest smile you would ever see. I pray for those that lost him to have peace. Lots of years have passed since I heard him laugh but when I stop and listen, I hear that great laugh. I can still remember standing in that little shop on Sebastopol Rd. Some of my best memories come from that time. R.I.P. MICHAEL
