Anthony Adami Obituary

Anthony Joseph Adami Passed away peacefully on December 27 at age 93. Tony has been reunited with Mary, the love of his, life for 63 years. Born in Baveno, Italy, raised in Oakland and a grad of Fremont HS. Served his country in WWII in the Second Infantry Division and witnessed the second wave of the Normandy invasion. Married Mary Phalin in 1945 in Wisconsin after a two year wartime `love letter' courtship. Tony, known affectionately as Pop, leaves two sons, their spouses; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Timothy & Kathy of Donner Lake; their children Danelle and Devin(Alisha), Terry & Michele of Alamo and daughters Carly(Jim Rabuco) & Marissa(Sean Nakahara) Lindsay(Kris Brownell) & Breanne, Giovannini. Mia, Emily, Logan and Carson are the `greats' who will be told the stories of Pop's great love for his family, St. Leander Church, the Oakland Raiders and A's, the Santa Clara Broncos, his Sons In Retirement pals, Toscana sourdough bread, his gardening expertise and his stylish outfits on the golf course. With a flick of the wrist a 'Manhattan' awaited any guest in Tony's San Leandro home. A private family `Celebration of Life' will be held with interment at Holy Sepulchere Cemetery.
