Herbert Lloyd Duncan On September 4, Herb passed peacefully at his daughter's home in Kelseyville surrounded by 4 generations of loving family. He was born April 10, 1919 in San Francisco. Survived by his loving daughters, Judy (George) Thut and Melinda (Jim) Hilton and adoring grandchildren, George Jr. (Shelly) Thut, Jeannine (Dennis) Westphal; Marc (Sose) Days, Summer (Kenneth) Monroe, and Time Hilton. Also 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was very proud of his family and bragged about having great-great-grandchildren. Herb was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis in 1995 and wife Jane in 2003, his granddaughter, Michelle Westphal and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Westphal. He served in the Navy during WWII and attended UC Berkeley. Herb and Phyllis were married for 47 years and resided in Menlo Park until her death. Together they started Flame Air Inc., a company he owned for 30 years. During their marriage they traveled to 52 countries and were members of the Suburban Club and Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club where he was a member for 42 years enjoying a round of golf each Wednesday and Saturday with long time friends. In 1998 he married Jane. Together they continued their love to travel. The family is planning a Memorial Service in Menlo Park. They prefer donations to Hospice Services of Lake County, 1717 S. Dear Family,

Oh, how I recall the loveliness of Herb and Phyllis dancing the night away on many a festive evening at the SHG&CC. A beautiful site. Herb was certainly a dapper gentleman in all ways. Happy, helpful and kind.
I knew him through my husband Aubrey Coldiron and Andrea and Susan Dubbs. He will be missed. My condolences.
