I just found out today that he passed. I know I am 5 months too late to commiserate and celebrate his life. I kept tabs with him a couple times a year, and this morning when I went to call him his number was disconnected. I immediately drove out to his house and saw that it was empty and for sale. Tracked down a neighbor and they told me the sad news. My condolences to his family. I know he touched many lives.
I have some great memories. He and I tried to save Hoopers Chocolates in Oakland. I also worked side by side with him detailing cars. I guess I took for granted that he would be a part of my life, its hard to believe he is gone.

My Big brother Richard and I were very close. The pain of his passing is pain I've never felt before. I just visited him in August for our annual family get together. He was alway candid and to the point on everything. I have seen our childhood pass though my mind and have so many memories of growing up together. He taught me so many things including the value of juicing and taking care of myself. My daughter Emily loved her uncle so much and wrote a song that expresses it so in her music.
We Love and miss you so much!! Rest in Peace my Brother!

He could be extremely opinionated and extremely loving. I was able to see those sides and more of him for the last 11 years. We rode motorcycles together, went to the Hawaiian islands, disneyland and many other trips. he liked to explore and he did it well. He worked out every day and tried to take the best care of himself that he could. He was articulate, educated and loved animals and children. He was a mans man and a true alpha in every sense of the word. I'm gonna miss you baby.

The world will miss Richard's physical presence, but if you knew him you will remember him always. I was lucky to meet him at a very difficult time in my life and I will always be thankful for his wisdom and honesty. Rock on RIchard!!
