LENORE HENNINGER Obituary

In the loving company of her sons, Lenore Chapman Henninger entered the presence of the Lord on Oct. 11, 2010. Lenore was born Aug. 31st, 1921, to Edward and Iva Deane Stoker in Weatherford, Texas. She grew up in Texas and Arkansas, and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in English. After moving to California with her family, she met and married John Chapman and raised their three children David, Thomas, and Carol, in Pomona, California. Lenore was the consummate wife, mother, and home maker, making their home on Alameda Street a haven for family and a gathering place for many. After John's death, Lenore worked as the secretary for the Pomona First Baptist Day School, and eventually retired from the Automobile Club. She was an active member of Pomona First Baptist Church for over sixty years. Later in life she married Bob Henninger. She and Bob spent their last years enjoying the high desert close to family. Lenore's legacy is rich with selfless service to her family, friends, and Lord. She never complained or spoke ill of anyone. She is survived by her son David, his wife Fran, daughter Carol Sullivan, her husband Michael, her son Thomas, and her brother Terence. Services will be held. Contributions in her name may be made to Pomona First Baptist Church.

I worked with Lenore years ago at Pomona Valley Insurance. She was a very nice woman and I'm sure she will be missed greatly.
