ROY E. DAHLSON Jr.

Born in Downey, California in 1931, died September 7, 2010, at the age of 79. He went peacefully to sleep and his spirit went gently on to meet his God. Roy attended Loyola High School and Loyola University. He retired from Mayesh Wholesale Florist at age 72. His pride was in his children and several grandchildren working together and committing to growing the family floral business. His passion was in his family, working in his garden and watching it grow, in the collecting and reading of books, and his pleasure in America's favorite past time. He was an active member of LA 5 Rotary; being on the scholarship board he loved being involved with young people and took pride in the ability to help further their education. He belonged to the Glendale Burbank Republican Assembly and was on the board of directors; politics always being foremost on his mind. Roy was also a member of Knights of Columbus. He lived his life for family, God, and love of country. He is loved and survived by his wife of 55 years, Geraldine; his two daughters, Cynthia and Pamela; seven sons, Roy, Pat, Anthony, Chris, Richard, Ted and Stephen; his 23 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three siblings, Rosemary, Conrad and Ardeth; his dog, Smitty; and his cat, Miss Kitty.
