A lifelong resident of Scottsbluff County, Carma was born in Mitchell March 8, 1925, to Loren and Lily (Haskin) Foreman. She married Kenneth Weber in Morrill in September of 1946, and except for living for a short time in Scottsbluff in the 1960's; they lived and farmed in Gering Valley until they moved to the Residency in 1993.
School was a big part of Carma's life. She attended Mitchell schools and was graduated from Morrill High School. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Chadron State College and a Master 's in Education in Reading and Language Arts from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Carma taught in schools in Minatare, Gering and Scottsbluff before she retired in 1983. She loved teaching and took pride in remembering her students as she greeted them or pointed them out when she was shopping or attending social events.
Sports and people were Carma's avocations. She watched every Husker game, and she loved playing golf. She played first at the Riverview Golf Course and then at the Scotts Bluff Country Club where she made many friends and won trophies in tournaments. She also played in several bridge clubs, belonged to various civic organizations, and was a member of the Gering Methodist Church. For many years, she and Kenneth spent winters in a retirement park in southern Texas.
Survivors include daughter Leigh Anne Brady and her husband John of Barrington, Ill.; son, Kenneth Weber Jr. of Scottsbluff; grandchildren, Joel (Kathy), Jay (Kelly) and Patrick Brady of Chicago; two great-grandchildren; and sister Nellene Mailander and her husband Paul of Bayard.
Husband Kenneth, brothers Charles, Leland, and Bentley, and her parents preceded Carma in death.

We lived across the street from Carma and Ken on West 29th Street. When Mom moved to the Residency after Dad passed away, Carma went out of her way to visit Mom. My prayers are with you in your loss. I know you will miss her. Sincerely, Bonnie Dappen Herdt
