Chris, It's been almost 8 years, the pain has subsided some but my missing you hasn't. I was listening to your demos last night and was once reminded how talented you were. I wish you'd known how much you meant to me, and I'm sure you do now. My friend Sara just passed away on Sunday, she was hit by a drunk driver. It's sad that times like these give you a reality check on how important your family and loved ones are in your life. Wish you were here with me. Love you.

Even though it has been a long time since you passed away, I think about you constantly. I wonder if our paths would have crossed again, because a piece of you has always been with me. When words fail me, I say a silent prayer for you. I wonder if you ever knew how loved and adored you are. A part of me still wants to brush your blonde hair out of your eyes, and hear you promise forever. In my dreams, I imagine the great things you would have done, had you only stayed. I'll never forget you.

Good God It has been a long time without you. I still pick up my phone and want to call you but I cannot. I miss the time spent eating food and laughing at nothing. I miss the way we never looked at the past and always just picked up where we left off. You were my one true friend in this world and you still are. People have told me to move on But, I don't want to. I miss you and can't wait till the day I get to see you again.

Dear Scotty, This Gramma is so sorry that we lived so far apart that I didn't get to know you as

well as I would have liked. Knowing is understanding and the circumstances just didn't allow that---I am so sorry I didn't hear you sing and play --- I am sure you were very good as they all said. You will be greatly missed

by your family. With Love, Your "Rickety" Gramma

Dearest Chris, Linda, Joel, Bethie, Ryan and Nicole,

I am so sorry you are so sad about Scotty. I have been trying to think of something to say to comfort you and after much thought this is what I came up with.

God does not want you to be sad about losing Scotty, because you haven't. He is still with you, in your thoughts and in your hearts. He is now in the very best place he could be. He is happy and at peace and is now fully aware of how much all of you will always love him. I am not as spiritual as all of you are, but I do know that God is merciful and gracious and will never give you anything you cannot handle. You have all become stronger and closer as a family because of this. And this, I believe, is the gift Scotty gave you before he left this earth. We are not human beings having spiritual experiences but spiritual beings having human experiences. My Deepest Love to all of you, Laurie

Dear Linda & Chris and family:

I wish I had known Scott better, but from what I have observed, he was a unique and special person. If there is a family that can handle this loss better or deserve it the least, I sure don't know what planet they are from, because you are very, very special people and I love you all very much.

Love,

Your cousin, Jeannie
