Dear Susan. We lost touch after you and Don moved back to Arkansas but I think of you often. Our niece is moving to Bentonville for work so I tried to look you up.

We are deeply saddened to hear that Don passed. Just know we think of you often and with fond memories of our friendship. Sending our love.

To Don's Family: I have known Don since he started at Wal-Mart, and worked with him closely on a number of projects over the years. We are both electrical engineers and had shared many great stories about our engineering careers. Don was a very smart systems designer and great programmer. We also talked about our families, church and relationship with God. I'm thankful that I got to have lunch with him a few months ago. I know he was spending as much time as he could with his family on going to baseball games and other special trips. I listened with humbleness to his fight - great inspiration.

I sit hear and read all the wonderful words written about my brother all of them are so true! I miss him every day. Today is especially hard because it is my birthday and the first one I can remember that I didn't hear from him by either phone or text.
I loved him dearly and although I am not ready for my earthly life to end I look forward to seeing him again in our Father's home. I think of him daily and know he is up there having a good time. Thank you everyone for all the nice words and for loving and embracing him. He was a special person and touched everyone he met.

Don demonstrated a humanity and spirit that many of us dream of. God blessed him with a special spirit that inspires the rest of us to reach higher, love as big as we can, show as much kindness as our hearts can bear, never forget every day is a blessing, and a gift to be cherished as if it were the last day of our lives. Don generously and frequently dropped his stone of kindness in the pond of life, and the bright light of his life, has given us all, eternal inspiration to walk as he walked through life. Don was a very special person and will be sadly missed by us all. I will never forget the fun times Don and I had working together in California (Amdahl). Our friendship started in California and continued (long range) after he and Susan moved back to Arkansas. Susan and kids nothing I can say will remove the pain of losing Don, but just know your friends in California are always here if you need us. Dean and Linda Hogle
