Blanche Fisher Obituary
Blanche Lucile Fisher, age 97,
of Vestaburg, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Warwick Living Center in Alma.
Cremation has taken place and a Graveside Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Ferris Cemetery.
Blanche has born April 9, 1916, in Sumner the daughter of Frank and Hazel (Klees) Hollabaugh. She married Ralph Fisher on January 11, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1999. She was a devoted mother who loved hosting family get-togethers and taking care of those she loved. Blanche was born and raised in Sumner and lived most of her life in the Vestaburg area and spent her life working and serving in the community.
Blanche is survived by one son, Gale (Lenore) Fisher of Shepherd; two grandsons, James (Amy) Fisher of Midland and Michael (Sharla) Fisher of Shepherd; one great granddaughter, Tara Fisher; two great grandsons, Adam and Drew Fisher; and two great step-grandsons, Brendan and Logan Fick. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Gilbert; brother, Robert (Joan) Hollabaugh; sister-in-law, Shirley Hollabaugh; and many nieces and nephews.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; sisters, Ruth Kinney, Edith Tolleson and Beatrice Fitzpatrick; and a brother, Frank Hollabaugh.
Memorial contributions may be given to Commission on Aging or a charity of your choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Berry Funeral Home in Shepherd.

Gale, what a gift you had in such a wonderful mother. I remember how she loved to talk to all the neighbors and was kind to the kids at the lake too.

We will certainly miss Blanche's smile and greeting as we visit at Warwick. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend. I certainly enjoyed being with her at the Mother's Day Tea last year. She always lit up the room with her smile.

Aunt Blanche I will never forget all the good memories of growing up & having fun at Bass Lake. You were always taking care of everyone making sure we all had fun. You will be sadly missed but we know you will continue to watch over us all. I always wanted to know what the "ding bats" were but knew I better not ask. Aunt Blanche, what can I say? I will always remember all the fun we had at your place... driving the bugs, looking at all the pictures you took, and I'm glad you never had to give me the "dingbats". I'll always love you.

We will miss our wonderful friend Blanche.We loved her and have enjoyed the many visits over the years with her at her home on Bass Lake and in the home. She has a wonderful devoted family who loved and cared for her. We will miss her so much. May she rest in peace in the arms of the Lord in a rest she greatly deserves with Ralph at her side.
