I am sad to hear of Mr. Helms´ passing. I remember him fondly as my boss at Piggly Wiggly, working there until I graduated high school. He would always make sure the guys did the bagging and heavy lifting. :) I´m grateful to have worked for him.

"One grenade would kill all of y'all." My most memorable line from Mr. Helms. After that comment I would always end up behind the bread rack, sweeping out because I was the only one (except for Steve Hornsby) that could fit behind the bread rack. Godspeed Mr. Helms........

Mr. Helms was a caring boss and a good man. Working at the Pig was one of my favorite jobs and that was due in no small part to him. I will remember his encouragement and the times he made me laugh. I'm so thankful that he played a role in my life. I wish I could be there in person to say goodbye, but know that my love and prayers are crossing the miles to be with your family.
