Lena Rodriguez Obituary
Funeral services for Lena Rodriguez will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in the Bethel Baptist Church of Pitkin with Reverend Brad Perkins, Brother Charles Seals, and Reverend Johnny Miller officiating. Committal service will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery under the directions of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Lena, 93, of Pitkin, entered eternal rest on Monday, July 20, 2015 in the CHRISTUS St. Francis Cabrini Hospital of Alexandria with her loving family by her side. She was born January 7, 1922 in Elizabeth to Rudolph and Lucinda Odom Willis. She was the oldest member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved cooking, gardening flowers, and gospel singings. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, great-great-great grandmother, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Kelly Rodriguez, and one daughter, Louise Christine Odom.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are: three sons, Earl (Clara) Rodriguez and Elton (Gloria) Rodriguez both of Pitkin, and Jimmy (Jeanette) Rodriguez of Oakdale; six daughters, Beatrice Hall of Pitkin, Marie (Curtis) Cribbs of Oakdale, Barbara Sigler of DeRidder, Frances (Wayne) Laird of Oakdale, Marlene (Trent) Doyle of Pitkin, and Charlene Reid and her companion, Sid Weatherford of Hineston; 21 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; 70 great-great grandchildren; 1 great-great-great grandson; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Keith Johnson, Aaron Rodriguez, Chad Rodriguez, Terry Slayter, Adam Cloud, and Levi Rodriguez.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Bethel Baptist Church from 11 a.m. (OPEN ALL NIGHT), funeral will be Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11 a.m.

Ms Lena was the rock of our church. I always remember her at church when I was a little girl. She always had a smile on her face. I will miss her and our family loved her dearly. Sue Leonard
